Some answers to questions we are most frwquently asked at JCK, but please do not hesitate to get in touch (contact details below) with any other queries you may have.
Are JCK Training courses compatible with NVQs?
All of our courses are highly suitable for NVQ Care candidates, and most cover topics directly applicable to Units CL1, Z1 and CL2 of NVQ Levels 2 and 3.
Courses can be adapted to cover more NVQ specific content if required. All course participants receive a signed and dated Certificate of Attendance to include with their NVQ portfolios.
How much will my in-house training course cost?
We have a policy of individually preparing in-house quotations for organisations and care providers on request. Your quotation is calculated as follows:
• Accommodation and subsistence at £60 per night where required
• Return Travel to/from Weymouth, Dorset at £0.40p per mile by car, or the cheapest alternative where train/air travel is a reasonable option
• Training Fee at £600 (1-day course) or £1100 (2-day course) including all training materials, Certificates of Attendance and the Course Book for a maximum of twenty participants.
Completed courses will be invoiced (28-day terms) with Certificates of Attendance where these have been requested and completed written evaluations. Please note that our courses are delivered 'on-site' - we do not provide or arrange venues.
Can shorter courses be arranged?
Most of our courses require a full 1 or 2 days, but in some circumstances shorter 3 or 4-hour courses can be arranged, particularly where travelling time is not prohibitive. Please contact us (details below) to discuss or suggest a shorter course.
Where can I get some idea of content and training style of JCK Training courses?
Course Information Packs containing learning objectives, outlines and samples from the training materials can be downloaded from the relevant pages (see links to the left of this page) in Adobe PDF format. Our If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, this can also be downloaded here. We will be glad to provide more specific information or references/testimonials on request.
Do you provide training for individuals?
We offer in-house training for care providers only. We cannot advise individuals seeking accredited training, but we recommend Hot Courses or Training Pages for those seeking courses to attend as individuals, or you may wish to consult the Government's Skills for Care website for further ideas and advice.
