Our aim at JCK is to make sure that all our courses are very practical, accessible, realistic and above all, enjoyable! Our Lead Trainer is Connor Kinsella, a highly experienced clinician, trainer and writer. Connor has spent more than twenty years working in mental health and since 1998 has worked with many hundreds of housing, health and social care workers as a trainer. He is also a successful author and recent projects include Introducing Mental Health with his wife Caroline, as well as Working with Personality Disorder with Stuart Hannell. Connor has designed and written Training Packs for various agencies including the Home Office and several major charities, and counts several local authorities and major care providers among those he has collaborated with on major training and policy projects. Our training style is highly interactive and lively, with an emphasis on drama and role play, audio-visual materials, discussion, debate and plenty of opportunities to work in small groups and ‘unpack’ what are often complex and even controversial concepts. There is no such thing as a ‘stupid question’! The trainer will also emphasise the existing skills and 'know how' of participants and take into account the differing levels of knowledge and experience within the group. Working with JCK Training Programmes can be adapted to meet the needs of any specific staff or client group at no extra charge, and Training Managers are asked to fully approve the programme before confirming dates and details. Clients will be invoiced (for the total quoted on the original quotation) on successful completion of the agreed project. |
